Infinite Chess Plus fun alternative to chess. It is like an expansion to chess, which allows you to play a variety of different chess games and lets you experiment with different chess board layouts. And it even allows you to play with one, two, or even more players. Keep reading to see how Infinite Chess Plus could make your game nights more entertaining.

Infinite Chess Plus uses Expandable Chess Boards that are 4x4 a piece (see diagram below). Using multiple Expandable Chess Boards, you can create many chess board layouts. And, in fact, there are infinite possible layouts.
It's possible to play regular chess with Infinite Chess Plus by making an 8x8 square layout with four Expandable Chess Boards (see diagram below).
The following diagram show another possible layouts as an example.
You can use a standard chessboard to play. Or make your own 4x4 expandable chess board by cutting up a standard chessboard into four pieces. If you have a 3D printer at home, you can print your own Extensible Chessboard. And, of course, you can buy the Expandable Chess Boards from EveryThang3D.

I came up with the Infinite Chess Plus idea while looking to 3D print a chess board for my children. I encountered several puzzle chess boards, where you build a standard chess board from a few to many board pieces. This research made made me realize that irregular chess board layouts can be fun, interesting, educational, and even mathematically challenging.
While deciding on a name for this idea, I thought that Infinity Chess would represent the idea well. But the Internet showed that Infinity Chess already belonged to a chess league (see "Related Links" below). I then looked up Infinite Chess. Turns out Infinite Chess is a similar concept in that the chess board could be any size and infinite in size. But like chess, it is always squared. Seeing that my idea with irregular chess board layout takes Infinite Chess one or more steps further, I decided to call it Infinite Chess Plus.
